Recommendations to Parents

  • Sick students should stay at home to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Parents must inform the school about any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs.
  • Teach personal hygiene habits such as washing hands, keeping nails short, and wearing clean uniforms.
  • Ensure that your child takes a bath before coming to school.
  • Regularly trim nails, wash hair properly, and maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
Exercise and Sleep Encourage regular exercise to promote good health and prevent obesity. Ensure that your child gets at least 8–9 hours of sleep each night.

Dietary Recommendations
  • Provide a well-balanced diet rich in nutrients, including milk and proteins necessary for growth and development.
  • Encourage healthy eating habits by sending only nutritious, home-cooked food and avoiding food from roadside vendors.
  • Ensure that your child drinks boiled or filtered water.
  • Take your child for annual dental and eye check-ups.
  • Ensure that all recommended vaccinations are administered.
  • If your child is sick, please keep them at home. Follow the prescribed quarantine period for diseases such as chickenpox, mumps, measles, or any viral fever.
Medical Information
  • Inform the class teacher and Principal if your child has any known allergies.
  • If your child has chronic conditions such as epilepsy, asthma, or heart disease, kindly inform the Principal in writing.
  • Ensure that the coordinator or class teacher is informed about any such condition.
  • Parents must drop off and pick up their children on time.
  • In case of a delayed pick-up (which is not frequently allowed), the class teacher should be informed in advance.
  • The school has partnered with The Bharat Scouts & Guides for co-curricular activities.
  • The Cub and Bulbul (Grades III–V) and Scout and Guide (Grades VI–VIII) programs aim to develop character and promote selfless service and responsible citizenship.
  • Students wishing to join must:
    • Register their names with the respective class teacher.
    • Wear the proper uniform during Scout/Guide activities.
  • In case of a student’s absence, classwork and assignments will not be shared regularly through the WhatsApp group. Work will only be shared on designated days, especially before examinations.
  • Parents are advised to maintain close contact with the school for the best outcomes for their child.
  • Please check your child’s school almanac daily and ensure that assigned homework is completed.
  • If you feel that your child is not making the desired progress, kindly contact the Principal or Coordinators for discussion.
  • Parents are encouraged to approach the school regarding any concerns related to their child.
  • Letters or queries will be responded to after discussion with the concerned teacher or counsellor.
  • Children will not be allowed to leave during school hours unless there is an emergency.
  • Social engagements or medical appointments should be scheduled outside school hours. Parents are requested not to send children to school on days when such appointments are scheduled.
  • As English is the medium of instruction in the school, parents are encouraged to promote English conversation at home as well.

School Functions and Meetings

  • Parents are requested to attend school functions such as parent-teacher meetings, annual functions, sports day, science fest, and fete.
  • Your active participation and interest in your child’s progress are highly appreciated.
  • The school values maximum cooperation from parents, as continuous parental involvement is crucial for a child’s success.
  • Criticism of teachers or the school in the presence of students should be avoided, as it may cause the child to lose respect for the teacher.
  • In case of any genuine complaint, kindly meet the Principal without hesitation.
  • Private tuition is not encouraged. Students of MIKADO, Udaipur are not permitted to take tuition from school teachers without prior approval from the principal.
  • Guide your child to become a responsible and resourceful member of the home and society.
  • Encourage self-help habits in both studies and daily work.
  • Instil the value and dignity of labour, which is an essential virtue for success in life.
  • Encourage your child to develop self-confidence, patience, and perseverance, which are essential qualities for success in life and studies.
