GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS

1. Personal Hygiene and Grooming

  • Bathing and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure that your child takes a bathbefore coming to school.
    • The child must always wear clean and ironed clothes.
  • Hygiene Practices:
    • Regularly clip nails.
    • Wash hair
    • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Hair Care:
    • Boys:Boys must maintain neatly combed and trimmed hair. Keep hair short and avoid spikes.
    • Girls:Girls must oil and tie hair neatly, preferably in two plaited ponytails using black bands and clips. Fancy clips are not allowed.

2. School Uniforms and Dress Code

  • Regular School Uniform:
    • Students must wear the complete school uniform, which should be cleanand properly ironed.
    • The uniform includes:
      • School tie
      • Belt
      • Black polished school shoes
    • House Uniform:
      • The school has four housesfor the Primary section, and Wednesdays and Saturdays are designated as house days.
      • Students must wear their house uniformson these days.

3. Physical Health and Nutrition

  • Exercise and Sleep:
    • Encourage regular exerciseto promote good health and prevent obesity.
    • Ensure your child gets at least 8 hours of sleepeach night.
  • Dietary Recommendations:
    • Provide a well-balanced dietrich in nutrients, including milk and proteins necessary for growth and development.
    • Teach healthy eating habits: Send only nutritious, home-cooked foodand avoid foods from roadside vendors.
    • Ensure your child drinks boiled or filtered waterfrom home.

4. Health and Medical Information

  • Annual Health Check-ups:
    • Take your child for yearly dental and ophthalmic check-ups.
    • Ensure that recommended vaccinations are administered.
  • Sick Days and Quarantine:
    • If your child is sick, please keep them at home.
    • Follow the prescribed quarantine period for diseases such as chickenpox, mumps, measles, or any viral fever.
  • Medical Information:
    • Allergies: Inform the class teacher and principal if your child has any known allergies.
    • Chronic Conditions: If your child has chronic conditions such as epilepsy, asthma, or heart disease, please inform the principal in writing.

5. Co-Curricular Activities: Scout & Guide

  • Scout & Guide Program:
    • The school has partnered with The Bharat Scouts & Guidesfor co-curricular activities.
    • Cub and Bulbul(Grades III-V) and Scout and Guide (Grades VI-VIII) programs are aimed at developing character and promoting selfless service and responsible citizenship.
    • Students wishing to join must:
      • Register their name with the respective class teacher.
      • Wear the proper uniform for Scout/Guide activities.

6. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Punctuality:
    • Students must arrive at school by 8:00 am.
    • Students arriving after 8:05 amwill not be allowed to enter and will be sent home for the day.
  • Absenteeism:
    • In case of a student’s absence, classwork and assignmentswill not be sent through the WhatsApp group regularly.
    • Work will only be sent on designated days, especially before exams.

7. Discipline and Conduct

  • Discipline:
    • Miss behaviour , bullying, or any violation of school rules (including bunking) will result in stern disciplinary action, such as suspension or rustication.
  • Visitor Policy:
    • Parents and guardians are not allowed to enter classrooms without prior permission from the principal or coordinators.

8. School Property and Responsibility

  • Students must take care of all school property. Any damage, whether accidental or intentional, should be reported immediately.
  • Students will be held responsible for repairing or replacing damaged items and may incur a fine.

9. Fees and Financial Matters

  • School fees must be paid by the 5th of every month to avoid late fee penalties.
